Elgin & Sonoita Wine Country
Arizona’s Original Wine Country · Minutes From the Ranch
The Double R sits right in the middle of Elgin’s high-elevation vineyards, family-run tasting rooms, and small-batch distilleries and meaderies. All just a short drive from your casita. Ride in the morning, sip in the afternoon, and let us handle the driving.

A HIGH-ALTITUDE ORIGINAL
Arizona’s First Wine Country
Elgin sits inside the Sonoita Appellation, founded in 1984 as Arizona’s original AVA. At 5,300 feet, volcanic soils and cooling mountain breezes create a terroir suited to Spanish, Italian, and French varietals, rare air for a high-desert cattle town. Many of the area’s tasting rooms line Elgin Road, making it easy to hop between several in a single afternoon.
